Terms & Conditions
1. 118 501 and 118 502 is a UK Directory Enquiries service operated by Crosby Communications UK Limited (CCL) within the DQ51 and DQ5 charge bands. Calls to this number from a BT landline are charged at BT’s current rate to the DQ51 and DQ5 charge bands. Calls from other networks and from mobile phones may vary; please check with your telephone calls provider.
2. Callers may request up to two telephone numbers on a single call.
3. Callers may request to have the numbers sent by SMS/text message to their UK registered mobile phone at no additional cost. The number will not be sent unless requested by the caller.
4. Callers may request to be connected to the telephone number they have requested. These onward–connected calls will be charged at their current rates if calling from a BT landline. Calls from other networks and from mobile phones may vary; please check with your telephone calls provider.
5. CCL will at the Customer's request re–program their PBX where possible so that only 118 501 and 118 502 is the default directory enquiries number called. This programming is carried out on a best–endeavours basis and CCL accepts no liability for call charges incurred by the Customer's staff dialling other 118 numbers.
6. Depending on the Customer's specific make and model of telephone system CCL will either be able to program the system to bar all 118 calls except 118 501 and 118 502 or to translate any other 118 number dialled so that 118 501 and 118 502 is called regardless of the number dialled on the telephone keypad.
7. The 118 501 and 118 502 service can commence at any time by the Customer manually dialling 118 501 and 118 502 from their telephone or will commence when such programming is operational. Programming will be carried out free of charge for Customers of CCL'’s Telephone Calls and Line Rental service. For Customers where CCL provides a maintenance service, the programming can either be carried out remotely or delayed until our next site visit (such as to attend to a system fault or perform a maintenance acceptance test etc.)
8. If a CCL maintenance service Customer requests a specific call out to have programming work carried out the Customer will be charged a one–off programming fee of £150+ VAT. Should programming prove not to be possible CCL will refund the £150 in full.
9. The Customer may cancel the 118 501 and 118 502 service by giving CCL a minimum of 30 days notice in writing. CCL reserves the right to charge a fee of £50 if the customer requests a specific visit to remove the programming.
10. Any queries or comments regarding the service should be directed to 0845 200 6000 or using the contact form at www.crosby.co.uk (Mon–Fri 9am–5.30pm). Callers are advised that telephone calls to CCL may be recorded for training and quality assurance purposes.

12. CCL does not guarantee that the service will be available from all landline or mobile service operators' networks.
13. CCL may vary the terms and conditions of the 118 501 and 118 502 service, including pricing, at any time. Up to date terms and conditions will be available through www.118502.co.uk at all times.
14. CCL may cease to provide, and reserves the right to suspend, the 118 501 and 118 502 service at any time without notice in the case of emergency or maintenance for operational reasons or if required to do so by any regulatory body, Government or other competent administrative authority. CCL accepts no liability for any loss whether direct, indirect or consequential, resulting from the service being unavailable for any reason.
15. CCL reserves the right to terminate the 118 501 and 118 502 service for any other reason on providing the customer with 30 days notice in writing.
16. CCL will provide the 118 501 and 118 502 service to Customers with the skill and care of a competent telecommunications directory assistance services provider.

18. The Customer consents to CCL co–operating with any other telecommunications operators in connection with any suspected fraudulent activity related to or connected with the service and agrees that CCL will be entitled to divulge the name and address and account information relating to the Customer to such third parties.
